The European Union and United States recently created the Trade and Technology Council (TTC) to promote transatlantic cooperation. Many of the TTC working groups focus on dual use technologies that could affect China’s military capaibilites. How does this affect Taiwan?

 

(Mr. Peter worked in the U.S. Department of State and had many years of experience in diplomatic work. From 1986 to 1988, he was stationed in the American Institute in Taiwan. Later, Mr. Peter served as the Vice President of the European Division of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, working to promote balanced trade and trade development between the United States and the European Union. Currently, he is a senior fellow in the German Marshall Fund of the United States.)
